During my time at ST. ROBO, I had the opportunity to create the 3D visuals for the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals across two consecutive years.
My main task was designing and building the central planet visual along with its simulated fiery ring, a dynamic, large scale centerpiece meant to anchor the show's visual identity on stage. Beyond the main visual, I also created the 3D reveal content for the festivals' surprise lineup announcements, including the reveals for Linkin Park and Blink-182.
I was also tasked with creating large scale control panels that served as frames for various types of content, including the Snapchat filter cam.
In addition to the show visuals, I was tasked with recreating the real premises of the Nürburgring in Unreal Engine. This allowed us to previsualize content directly within the actual festival grounds, making it possible to plan stage placement, scale, and visual composition ahead of time.
The project was realized under the creative direction of Philip Hillers.
